This sculpture is based on a mechanical puzzle similar to a Rubik’s Cube. The object is designed as a system of manipulation: by rotating its segments, the blocks can continuously generate new configurations.
In this version, one of the protruding blocks has been permanently embedded in a transparent epoxy resin cube. This intervention completely blocks the mechanism. As a result, the puzzle loses its function; it can no longer be turned or solved.
The cube is therefore locked into a final, frozen configuration.
A transparent material — a medium usually associated with openness and visibility — paradoxically becomes the very agent of closure.
The work transforms an object designed for active problem-solving into a static artifact. The game becomes sculpture, and the system shifts from a field of possibilities into a closed structure.
The puzzle thus becomes a metaphor for knowledge and interpretation: what was once a dynamic space of combinations now appears as a fixed and irreversible state.
